Judging criteria
A panel of distinguished automotive designers and other design professionals will evaluate the entries and choose the category winners and the overall winner.
The judging panel will evaluate all entries as follows:
- Relevance to the theme
- Concept originality
- Design value and quality
- Developmental potential
- Presentation and explanation
Interior Motives magazine and the judging panel reserve the right to create additional design briefs and award categories if necessary.
Judging process
The judging process will take place from 1 June 2009, and will incorporate a number of stages:
- June/July 2009: Shortlist
The shortlist of entries as chosen by the judging panel will be announced
- July/August 2009: Finalists are announced
Students whose projects have been chosen as finalists will be contacted
- 16 September 2009: Winners are announced
Category winners and the Student Designer of the Year 2009 will be announced during the Interior Motives Design Awards ceremony in Frankfurt, Germany (evening of the second motor show Press day).
The winning designs and category winners will be featured on the competition website, in the pages of Interior Motives magazine and online on the Car Design News website.
